Two questions. Parking brake and rear lights

Mot preparation in a couple of weeks so I read last years sheet and it had a couple of advisories. One was marginal parking brake efficiency. The other was faded lanses on the rear lights. So.....

Has anyone tried the parking brake lever extensions from tony hart and do they work. Can I make my own? Do dimensions exist?

And

Has anyone tried painting the inside of the lenses? I was thinking of using translucent paint as used by model car racers (tamiya)

To be honest Gary, the handbrakes on Stags are pretty marginal, but thankfully as they have dual circuit brakes it only has to reach 16% efficiency, so as long as the brake is finely adjusted by hand before the cable is done you should be OK.

Lenses.... Is he commenting on the clear cover rather than the redness of the light? If its redness then you could use LED bulbs which are self coloured....

thanks for that gents, the advisories were on the last MOT, before I got the car so I don't have any more info than what's on the print out. LED bulbs are an idea,worth considering.............off to ebay
