    Cost of a garage space?

For the past 9 years I have had to park my Stag in the open in our complex's open air car park.
The complex next door was built much more recently and has underground car parking spaces that their residents can rent, but not many do.
Some of those spaces I am informed are now to be sold off to anyone who wants to buy one (no matter where they live), but at what cost I do not yet know.
The spaces are just that - spaces with no doors but there is a solid wall every two spaces and some car owners have rented 2 spaces and put a double door on the front to make them private. As a single space is only just wide enough to take a car, I would want to purchase 2 adjacent ones myself and do the same so I could store all my tools in there as well as my hardtop.

That would give me a garage of 17.2 feet in length by a width of 16.6 feet which should be well enough.
Access to the garage spaces is fairly secure as you need a remote device to open the gates that leads to the garage spaces below ground.

Such a garage would suit me down to the ground as it is only 2 minutes walk away and would give my car some security, and I could work on the car in there when needed without being constantly interrupted as I am now by passers by. There is no electric supply though.

Attached is a rough diagram I have drawn of what I am talking about, and to find out if the cost of these spaces is reasonable or not,
could someone tell me what a garage (or space) of similar size in the U.K. would cost, as I am out of touch with present day U.K. property and garage costs.

I think it depends entirely on location to be honest.
From about £1K somewhere you wouldn't want to leave your car (theoretically secure or not) to £ somewhere well into six figures in London.

If supply outstrips demand where you are - don't be afraid to offer low.
But don't string it out too long just in case you end up losing out.

Bit like how long is a bit of string there Terry, I don't think prices in England bear any resemblence to here, but in my experience dealing with the Spanish the more you appear to want it the higher the price. There have been local's standing empty in purto colon for 25 years because they are ridiculously overpriced. I belive it to be the nature of the beast (greed) I wish you luck it would be great to have somwhere to put the roof so you can get the benifit of the weather. Cheers Graham

Thanks for the replies guys. I am still awaiting a reply to my enquiry about buying one so still don't know the cost.
I don't want to spend another year with the hardtop permanently attached because I have nowhere to put it.
I presently rent a storeroom in our complex where I used to put the hardtop, but it is only small and on the 7th floor, and is now full leaving no room for the top itself.
Don't expect the price to be the same as it would be in the U.K., just wanted some idea of what is likely to be asked, as few garages/spaces have come up for sale before in Los Cristianos.
Got latest granddaughter coming out from Chelmsford tonight, so likely to be busy for the next week and won't be on the Forum as much as I normally am (which SWMBO says is too much). Our newest graddaughter is only 18 months but this is her 3rd visit to Tenerife already. When I was younger I didn't get to go abroad until I was 21, how things change.

A Job my Son (He's an Electrician) was on the latter part of last year. found out that the flat owner had paid £100k (yes that is correct) for a single Garage in Notting Hill, West London.
