I am currently using the original Michelin MXV-P which still have plenty of tread but show signs of cracking on the walls can anybody recommend a modern substitute that is street and insurance legal.

A lot of us use 205/70 14s - they fit fine on the rims, have the correct rolling diameter and are a lot easier to find. Mine are Falkens which are made by Bridgestone. -
