Two local garages have at last restored my faith in my '74 RV8 Stag following my acquisition last October from a Midlands con-artist dealer. First Thornfalcon Classics nr Taunton (Ian Lismer) who served his apprenticeship at a Triumph dealers when the Stag was launched - he still has nightmares about it - then worked for the local Rover dealers. He found all the oil leaks, bodged split front transmission cover, misaligned gear support bracket etc. And just now Darren from Bawdrip Service Station who has owned and restored 12, yes 12, Stags starting from age 17 - and he knows a lot about Holley carbs. Now runs sweet as a nut.
Most grateful chaps.
