Yes it's been done.
I remember Richard Lane of Brighton Stag's did a turbo conversion to his car, before he went over to the Rover Engine. I'm talking the late 80's so a long time ago.
Twin and single turbo possible, using the single both sides feed the common turbo of course.
Packaging the usual problem, not a lot of room!
Supercharger easier, and cooler.
Tony Hart of HRS has fitted a supercharger recently which is well documented, an eaton screw type. I've always though a Rotrex centrifugal type could be fitted.
Cheers,
Mike
This is about the same question that I have seen with my other V8 car, a Porsche 928. There are several options that has been utilised on the 928:
- 1 or 2 turbos in front of the engine. This means redesigning the front of the engine to place a intercooler and a radiator far ahead to make room for the turbos
- 2 turbos low on the sides of the engine (this is not doable on the Stag
- 1 turbo where the mid muffler is placed. This may not be doable without ruining ground clearance
- 1 turbo at the rear. This may not be doable without ruining ground clearance also.
My bet would have been 2 turbos in front of the engine or a single under the boot.

I saw a stag fitted with twin turbos at Stafford showground some years back, I can't remember what sort of fueling it used but do remember the owner saying it used mapped ignition and produced about 240bhp
