is it possible to fit 205 70 14 tyres on standard 14" wheels without causing problems with the suspension etc.

I fitted 205/70x14's on my old Stag about 20 years ago.
They were Dayton's ( similar to the old Firestone 630's).
It might have been their perticular square shoulder design but they rubbed on the front.
I had to fit 5mm spacers to keep them off the shock & trim the front edge corner of the front wheel arch to stop them scrubbing when steered.
They did look tough though.Comment
