Gents,
It seems I've lost most of the hydraulics from the clutch system and pumping the pedal with the engine running to get some hydraulic pressure has tended to result in a pedal that flops onto the floor. The system was bled on Sunday last and the resultant black goo that flowed into the jamjar suggeststhat a seal may have gone. I bought a new old stock master cylinder andhad that fitted last yearand I'm wondering whether the seals mayhave perished.
To cut to the chase I'm thinkingthat the m/c seals may need replacing. I'm advised that this israther fiddly.Has anyone any top tips that they might care to pass onto help this apprentice. My Stag is not going anywhere at the minute as to get it out of the garage requires it starting inreverse gear close to a wall and up a steep drive.....I'mjust not brave enough for that one !
