Advice sought on rip in mohair hood

Hi there. First message from a newbie to Stag ownership. I've put a small L-shaped tear in the fairly recent dark blue hood, less than 3 inches in either dimension. It's about 8 inches to the right of the rear window, so an accessible spot. Anyone got any advice about patching or stitching, or who to approach for repair (I'm in West Oxfordshire)? Thanks. Charlie

    I did exactly the same!

All I did was to stick some gaffer tape on the inside. Aesthetically it would not win any prizes but it works.

I'm sure someone will come along shortly with a better solution.

    Regards

I saw one a few years ago which had been repaired and then had a cloth SOC badge added to cover the damaged area. It was white on black. Possibly an old version of the badge. It looked good as he had added one to the other side as well.

I did a repair on mine about 6 inches long with a darning needle and some heavy duty thread it was quite neat but obviously visible close up didn't leak though
