    MOT passed today

I've just got back from the Stag's MOT and I'm glad to say she passed with no advisories This is the first time it has been done using a shaker which was a bit alarming to watch.

She has done 12,369 miles since last year's MOT!

Off to give her a well deserved wash now.

    Brian.
Drive a Stag every day... it's wonderful!

Mine just passed too although with a few advisories, nothing too alarming.
Not sure what a shaker is.
Only done 500 miles since last test, shame on me !!

Also must give her a wash, ready for New Forest Run tomorrow and if we survive that, Big Sheep in Devon next Sunday

    John

Speaking to the guy who does my mot he says there is no reason for it to be as strong or violant as some of them do it, he says it is down to the operator and was very gentle with mine and he reckons the tester can see more if it is done gently anyway.

Ah...I didn't realise the operator could control it. He did do it very gently and not for very long, fortunately he understands classic cars!

          Guy's,

you are making something out of nothing IMO, your pride and joy goes through a lot more than a shaker plate can deliver when driving on our wonderful well maintained roads

Is that something new for the MOT?

None of my cars have had that inflicted on them

              Regards

Cost- It's to enable the MOT to be carried out by one person.

Good news Brian, another year of high mileage on its way!

I got my Stag through the MOT on Thursday, only a knackered brake light bulb that I hadn't spotted due to excessive time spent welding!
