Radiator & Fan

My 2p.

I'm amazed how this doesnt happen on braking.(if its the engine mounts)

However last year I wiped out 2 radiators when the fan hit the rad under acceleration twice. (took out the viscous as well & bent the oil cooler fins)

The core position is not identical to original, the top / bottom rad. brackets can be different or sightly out of position.

I also have a zf4speed kit , which had 1/2" spacers on the gearbox crossmember....changing the installation angle.

I have removed the 1/2" spacers, and so far the 3rd rebuilt radiator remains intact (!)

Never experienced this before over the past 26 years ownership , although i did have a viscous seize & explode!
