Many of you may either own, or know of, a book simply titled 'Triumph Stag' by Andrew Morland.
Whilst primarily a photographer, Andrew compiled this book over 20 years ago and it comprises a fair amount of (mostly correct
) information, together with a good number of excellent photographs - although I personally reckon the cover photo is one of the least good photos in the whole book
. Anyway, I obtained my copy a long time ago and one of the photographs in particular helped to keep my interest in Stags burning during some of the 30 odd years between selling my first one and buying my current one. The book was produced with some assistance from the Club and it may be that your car is featured in its pages.
So, 'why is the old git going on about it now ?' I hear you ask
. Well, subsequent to Andrew producing the book, I became good friends with him and the other day he mentioned to me that when he was having a clear out at home, he came across all the proofs of the photographs that were used in the book and he asked if I would like them. Too bloody right I would
Proof copies are usually far larger versions of the photographs and many of them are duplicated. So, I wonder if any of you would be interested in having any of these proofs - I want to keep most of them, but it would be great if some went to a good home and if, by any chance, your car (or maybe one similar to yours) featured in the book then it would be a great memento.
I don't want anything for them but if anyone is interested then just PM me.
Cheers
Julian
