    John
Now I know why you're not going to Prescott, maybe Next year?
All too technical for me and will it do more than 30 mpg now?

Best of luck in fettling it, sure you'll get it done - then it's the rolling road ......

Really good. I have always steered clear of injection as it always seems complicated compared to carbs but suppose I should start to learn about it. Just makes this all the more impressive to me.

Hey John -see you got some proper fuelling running at last - better than that watering can you had pouring down the manifold...
I look forward to praising your efforts mate on the 7th.
Richard will be proud of you!

No tuning this weekend due to family commitments but it great to just turn the key and it starts immediately and keeps running at steady revs, no more juggling with choke and accelerator to keep it going.

Anyone want to buy a watering can?

Hey John... is it injecting sequentially or in in banks a la Rover/Lucas? If sequential, where are you picking up start sequence reference signal from? Distributor or a cam sensor?

I'm curious, but also seriously impressed with your efforts - you have more patience than me, and no small skill set to achieve this - is there a kit on the way and a new website? StagSquirt?

Only joking I just thought you'd need an outlet to sell your old watering can - sorry carb...

I went for batch fire as simpler as no cam sensor needed. I had enough to do without that. Advantage of sequential is slightly better emissions as you well know. I recon that emissions will be way better with whatever EFI than carbs. At least it can be easily modified later on as the Megasquirt will cater for it, along with fan control, boost, NOx and launch control among others.

Initially I was going to squirt only and leave ignition as standard for a year but Stagdad very kindly gave me an EDIS ignition system so I went the whole way.

Thanks for the earlier lesson on advance and mixture, all very useful as I'm trying to get my head round the tuning aspect.

                    No clones from here, sorry.

I'm concerned that you were just going to squirt but Stagdad made you go all the way.... (strategically edited for comedy effect - ooer missus)

                          Squirting is the new Suck!!!!!!!!

This has given me a kick up the *rse to get on with mine .Typical that the one thing i thought i wouldn't need to buy is a wideband set up for the exhaust as i already have an A/f gauge but as it turns out it doesn't have the datalog output that the MS requires so more money spent and a newer version ordered.

Not only is he igniting the squirt but I think he has a pair of knockers in the set up as well, or are they called knock sensors, I never know the difference. Is that right John did you get them as well?

Dont know yet, using the same catch tank as I used with the Weber feeding into the plenum before the butterfly.

I bought the knocker module with the MS2 and got a couple of Bosch wideband donut sensors on eBay. I think they came off a Rover KV6 engine. I have bolted one to each side of the block using the top engine mounting bracket bolt. Have switched this off until I am happy with other settings.

                                John.
