Second post. Exhaust

Ok so how does the drivers side exhaust come off? I've loosened the nuts on the manifold studs and the clamp to the middle section(and chassis bolt) are both off. But the angle is such that the down pipe will not come off the studs with the middle section still in place and I can get the middle section out of the down pipe as the studs stop it moving forwards

Managed to get mine off by loosening the clamp on the centre section then with the down pipe nuts of just push and pull till it came loose. Was a right git getting it back on mind.

Leave it on until you crane the engine out. It will pull out of the middle section at the time.

If you can loosen the joint to the middle section it will come off, but as others have said, it is a bit of a pig!

I have changed the studs for stainless bolts, so it is very easy to remove the front sections of exhaust. Watch the state of the holes in the manifold - I have helicoiled some of mine.

I've helicoiled ( well Wurthed) all of mine. If the engine is out or head removed it's a no-brainer. IMHO.
