Earth problem?

Usually when I start my car from cold neither the heated rear screen switch or the blower motor will turn on. Once the car has warmed up both switches will work and it is always either both work or both don't. Obviously this fault is common to both switches and I'm wondering if it is an earthing problem, can anyone tell me which earthing point I should be looking at?

I think they both share the same relay and fuse?

I had a very similar problem when I bought my Stag,turned out to be the fuses,,they were all the same amperage?????so I bought the correct size fuses and cleaned all the contact surfaces of the fuse holders,with fine emory paper.(even though these looked quite new) Cured it.

Thanks chaps, I'll check the fuses tomorrow, all seems ok engine bay side but I haven't had a root around inside recently.

I'm about two years away from these problems. Good to know there is a light at the end. However I did find just cleaning the terminals in the fuse box helped with a number of such issues. Many of my fuses were looking a bit blue at the ends. Mike
