2500TC what springs should I use

Having rebuilt my 2500TC Engine and my car almost ready to receive it, should I use updated front springs,
standard or weaker, ( as in the rover V8, which is lighter)
So, does any one know if the 2500TC Engine is lighter or heavier than the TV8 and is the difference enough to matter to handling?
Any thoughts would be really appreciated

Hi the stag engine is about the same weight as the 2000/2500 so springs can be used for either unless they are worn or saggy and would need replacing anyway. Dave

I echo the above regarding Chris Witor.

Not that it helps but I have driven a 2.5PI on his lowered springs and dampers (KYB Gas-A-Just) and it really did show IMO how capable a car a saloon really is. Great handling along with good comfort.
