Black Rear Panel

Hi,

Is there anyone out there with a 1973-1976 Stag who has a photo of the rear with the boot lid open? I want to see where the joining lines are between the black and body colour in the boot drain channel and rear wing, and also the underside of the boot lid.

I have looked in the usual publications and online for images, but can't find what I'm looking for.

Hi Dave, sorry no pic, but the panel is entirely black, into it's side panels to the horseshoes and up to the top, under the seal, from the corners of the seal, the black goes forwards and out at about 45 degrees into the rain channel, and stops on the horizontal part. none on the boot lid, that remains body colour. Martin.

Thanks Martin. So it goes from the corner of the boot lid seal to the join between the rear panel and the inner edge of the wing overhang - approx 45 degrees.

Interesting that the boot lid is entirely body colour. I've seen a few where the number plate light panel is black, which makes sense in that the entire recessed panel area is black. Food for thought......

same here on java green body, rear panel all black and join on the rain channel.boot lid body colour and looks fine
