Hi guys my reversing lights are not working bulbs are ok and also earths is the operating switch on the gearbox or the selector lever where do I start looking.
Yep, check the plug on left side of the transmission tunnel (that's where mine was anyway) this plug also has the overdrive connections. My reversing lights weren't working either but the overdrive was, I have managed to pull the plug through into the engine bay and I've cable tied it there to try to keep it clean.
Peter remember there is also a multi plug at the left side of the transmition tunnel that can also cause all manners of problems check that out to. The problem with a 65 is the inhibiter/ reverse switch mounted on the side of the box is megabucks so before you condem the switch check out all the other possibilities first. Check in before you spend any money there may be another solution. Graham

Thanks peter
Take the 2 green wires off the switch and join them together and make sure the rest of the reverse circuit is ok. you can also use a multimeter to check out the switch. Graham
