    Replacing door seals

    Hi,

My rubber door seals are in serious need of being replaced so I've purchased some new ones from Robsport and need to set about installing them.

Do they simply push on ?
Is there a particular start and end point in case the current ones were not installed properly ?
What happens with the carpet around the bulkhead and sill does that go under the rubber seals ?

    Cheers in advance

      Hi,

It's spooky how good this forum is.

So should the carpet around the footwell and sills go under the seal ?

      Cheers

        Hi Dave,

Yes they should, although it may depend a little on how the carpets were cut when they were fitted.

You will need to lift, or at least loosen, the stainless steel carpet retainers on the top of the sill (4/5 screws each side)

        Cheers

            Hi Guy's

I started on my door seals today, they are looking good.

What's best to trim the ends with ?

            Cheers

              Dave,

If you need to cut them to length, then a pair of side-cutters will do the job:
