softop stuck

Hi people,can anyone advise thebest way to release the softop when the lever does not function?? The action feels correct (cable still attached)but it does not release the centre pin. Can I access the catch by removing the rear seat?

Any help would be most appreciated,as we might get some sunshine before long.!

Another well know idiosyncrasy of the Stag. Try freeing it with a large, flat headed screw-driver. I find this usually works, and then you will need to adjust the nut on the pin to allow it to free more easily. Great fun, almost as common as interior lights up the creek.
