My youngest daughter is at Stafford Uni in Stoke. Yesterday afternoon her and another girl were in a Mc D's in Hanley, and got themselves involved in an incident involving 8-10 boys and 3 girls - some black, some white.
Apaprently it started off with the boys throwing ice-cubes about, some of which hit my daughter and her friend. My daughter says she turned round and gave then a look, and the girls told herif she didn't like it she sould leave. My daughter will stick up for herself and told them to grow up and she wasn't going anywhere - she is petite, pretty, blonde and speaks with a very nice accent, which was obviously a combination that Stoke birds don't like. Hearing her accent, there was then a lot of verbal abuse with "posh bitch" and "stuck up bitch" being the most used with a black girl leading the way. Naturally my daughter and her freind were intimidated, but stuck it out for about 5 mins then left and as they did, drinks were thrown at them. Downstairs a "manager" asked them if they were ok as they were in tears, they said they were said that the gang upstairs needed to be thrown out, and then left.
My daughter doesn't have the experience to know you don't walk away from things like that without continually keeping an eye over your shoulder and as a result were taken by surprise when they were suddenly surrounded by the gang, with the focus on my daughter. She was grabbed from behind by her hair, pulled into the road by the mouthy black girl and the other two girls then went for her as well so all three of them had handfuls of her hair, and were kicking, punching, scratching and spitting at her. She had 4 earrings ripped out along with handfuls of hair. He friend managed to get the black girl off my daughter, who was then able to get free of the others, and made a run for it back to McD's.
Apparently McD's have got very good CCTY footage of the girls and know who they are. My daughters been to the Police. My ex wife is a bit volatile and had to be persauded not to be in her car and driving to Stoke to scour the streets and deal with the girls - no idle threat - which had it been local would have been the case. With my faith in the system I have no expectation that the Stoke girls will get arrested and / or prosecuted, although my wife has been onto the Police and read them the Riot Act as only she can.
Anyone have any gang contacts in and around Stoke? :angry1:
