In Fear and Trembling I Removed the Sill Covers

Decided remove the sill covers today there were a couple of paint bubbles showing so I was somewhat worried what I was going to find. I must admit to putting this off for a couple of years.

Somewhat amazed to find a couple of rusty patches on each side while these were about the size of a tennis ball the rust was only on the surface and it all cleaned up nicely. So all rubbed down, treated, primed, painted and put back together again.

    well pleased

        Hi Phil,

I have attahced my Sill cover with Stainless self tappers instead of pop rivets so I can remove them periodically for inspection.

Just a thought if you haven't put your covers back on yet

        Rgds
