Hi all, does any one know the size and thickness of the two small plates next to the n/s bonnet hinge and if it is aluminium. Mine were removed many years ago when the the top panel was replaced.
Cheers Paul
Thanks guys.... I have obtained the heritage certificate hence the reason for wanting to make them. A friend of mine said he would make them for me if I get him the sizes.
Thanks Julian, I do now ... I know this is cheeky but do you have a picture of them you could send so I get them correct. Also i should be able to work out the size of them from the picture. I can then take up my friends offer of making a pair of them for me.
The painted one is the 'Body number' and was fixed when the shells were produced up at Speke. The whole shell, including the body number plate, was then painted and put into storage. When the shell was called forward for production, the second plate, known under various names, was fitted at Canley and that's why it was unpainted.
