Relative merits and demerits of standard and non standard fuelling systems - discuss
I have been following this thread with great interest as I had been contemplating the possibility of changing from my Strombergs to a Webber system. However with all the talk of PCV's and breathing issues and oil catch tanks, it sounds like a lot of work and bother for not a lot of gain especially when my strommies are running fine. I don't have any of the "hot start" issues that some members have and since installing the Grosse jets I haven't had any further problems with sticking valves either. Now I just need to find a rolling road in the North East to get the ol' gal finely tuned so she hits the sweet spot. Not sure what MPG I am getting as I just pootle around my local area and haven't been on any long runs yet.
Dave.
Exactly 100% same situation as me.
I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!
I hear that oil peeing out everywhere has been stopped by fitting a PCV into the same cam cover as the breather, as suggested by the supplier. Unfortunately the car is running very weak. No doubt he will be online to correct me, if I have misunderstood.

Surely it should read like this "THE SUPPLIER" starring Jason Statham.
