    Oh, the irony...

So, on my way to the Stag Owners' Club meeting last night, at the White Hart in Cadnam, what should jump out at me on the M27 but one of these:

Fortunately, it was raining so the Stag had stayed in the garage... it made a bit of a mess of my Toyota though :-(

Yes, the Wombles who came to pick up the minced venison mentioned that it's becoming a bit of a problem, especially in Hants :-(
I'm fine, but VERY glad that the Stag had stayed at home, could've been a very different story...

Blimey Wendy, glad you are ok as that sort of thing can shake you right up and could have been a lot worse eh?

Mind you if you were in the Stag it may have just bounced it up and away as it wasn't designed to crumple on impact to the extent modern cars.

We very nearly had one on the slip road M40 to M25 North. I'm not sure who was more startled, the deer, my wife (driving) or the guy overtaking us at the time!

                  Cheers,
                  Mike.

Glad you are ok but what about the deer?
I hope it was one of those with attitude and just gave you a long look before clearing off....

It was in no state to be clearing off anywhere :-( The car may have come off badly, but the deer definitely came off worse.

Somebody's got to say it: "Oh deer!"

Glad you are ok. The car can be repaired......

Absolutely! Scary moment, but could have been so much worse.

Very common here to have wildlife darting out in front of the car. And bigger white-tail or mule deer as well which are very common around where we live! They will even graze on our lawns.
It's said the deer like to graze along the sides of roads because of salt used during the winter makes every more tasty. Not sure how true that is.
They have absolutely no kerb drill!
