Fine then let us give them there five minutes of glory ( they get this anyway through publicity) and then be rid of them. Remember we are not just talking about terrorists I am sure people won't think of child murders as martyrs

I don't imagine anyone would think of a child murderer as a martyr and I too object to considerable public expenditure being incurred on a life sentence which, if I remember correctly, contrary to when capital punishment was abolished, life does not mean life in all cases.
But I am sure there are plenty of individuals in the world who would support what happened yesterday. The cliche one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist has been relevant throughout history. - Imagine for example how many martyrs or heros would have been created if the death sentence had been used during the Irish "troubles".

Seems to me that we all agree in one sence or another.
So how many people are stag soc members, 3,000 or 10,000 i have no idea, but why don't we ask ALL the members to have their say on this thread then it could be passed on to someone who will for once take bloody notice of the working class man of this country and do something about it. At least that way we are doing something instead of feeling helpless.

It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were
playing an old news video of
Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra
hearings during the Reagan Administration.

There was Ollie in front of God and country getting
the third degree, but what he said was stunning!

He was being drilled by a
senator, 'Did you not recently spend close to
$60,000 for a home security system?'

Ollie replied, 'Yes, I did, Sir.'

The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the
audience, 'Isn't that just a little excessive?'

'No, sir,' continued Ollie.

'No? And why not?' the senator asked.

'Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir.'

'Threatened? By whom?' the senator questioned.

'By a terrorist, sir' Ollie answered.

'Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?'

'His name is Osama bin Laden, sir', Ollie replied.

At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but
couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then
probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator
continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?' the senator asked.

'Because, sir, he is the most
evil person alive that I know of', Ollie answered.

'And what do you recommend we do about him?' asked the senator.

'Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an
assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth.'

The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip.

By the way, that senator was Al Gore!

Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in
Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and
imprisoned him. As part of the
Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993,
Israel had to agree to release so-called 'political prisoners.'

However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands. The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, 'insisted' that all prisoners be released.

Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked us by
flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade
Center . This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time
that the terrorists were first identified.

It was censored in the US from all later reports.

a lot of people on facebook have the same views, it is posted all over.

while reading posts on facebook one of my work friends, female, a mother and a really nice person asked a question and said this.

' what world have i bought my children into?, it makes me sick to think that my 2 daughters have to grow up in a world, that i decided to bring them into, where people can do this to another, what hope have they in 10 years time.

says it all i think gents, it will get worse before something is done, something needs to be done and quick, it's not about religion, arnt we grown up enough to get on with each other, life is hard enough, they should be shot, given to the crowds or family, this is blatant, not mitigating, no thought for anything but what they want.

just my views, i think as a country we have too many do gooders and not enough do'ers.

i feel for the family, if it was my son/daughter i would be in bits and very very angry, how must they feel, killed NOT in the line of duty!

This guy was attacked because he was wearing a Help for Heros hoodie so, he could've been just an average joe like anyone of us! How did they know he was a soldier? My point is that these terrorists don't care about anyone or any thing except for their "cause". This country hasn't done anything with that bloke with the hook, except look after him. This country has been diluted with sh&t over the last 30-40 years, anyone can come here weather you have a job or not, somewhere to live or not because our government will give them a home and money to live off, free welfare, that's why everyone comes here!

I'm not a racist, I have Indian friends and Pakistan friend at work, not all Muslims are bad, not all foreigners are going to come here and commit acts of terrorism, but surely enough is enough? Close the borders, no one else can come in, we're full!

My heart goes out to the soldiers family and friends. 2 of my brothers were in the army, 1 was in NI in the early 80s which worried my Mum sick, now I have a nephew in the army who has recently returned from Afgan, thankfully in one piece.

These are just my thoughts, don't take them the wrong way as they're not written to offend anyone, it's just that yesterday's events made me quite sad and angry, I have 2 young boys, what state will the country be in when they grow up?
