2500s carbs

Hi all
I have twin su carbs on a 2500s manifold but there is no insulation spacer (6mm black plastic) in between the carb and the manifold should there be one? as inlet manifold is above the exhaust manifold

Ian,

Is this a straight six conversion in your Stag? If so then the black spacers might not be needed. I can check at the week-end if my 2.5s has them (my dicky memory says yes, but that's nothing I would rely on). It might be that different jets are in use. A rolling road is the only real answer with the possible items ready to be bolted on/off and results documented.
