gauge problem

i just did all my gauges new seals bezels and put in some LED lights then some wiring issues. When i start the car up the fuel and the temp gauges move but not much, after a while both gauges start to work and give good indication of where they should be. temp gauge confirmed by additional temp gauges and fuel by filling up tank. Any ideas before i go pulling out the dash pod.

I would check around the voltage regulator on back of speedo and earth tag on speedo.
