hi all, first post on here,had my stag 31years!!, back on the road after 5yrs,accident,(me not the stag) anyway took it in yesterday for auto g/box service, came away gave it some welly up the A5 ,grinding noise from underneath ,recovered back home, viscous thrown a 7 just marked rad, at least it,s an easy fix,these Stags will not let you rest,all the best, mac.

There were a lot of dodgy new VCs on the market a while ago. I'm soon going to fit my fifth one
which should be a good 'un.
I think most of the ones available now are good but Bob Heritage, on here, used to supply ones that you could be sure were good.
Mind you, after 31 years, I guess you probably know everything about Stags. It was about 31 years ago that I left the BL/Triumph dealers that I'd spent a decade working at.

hi Julian ,yeh had a bit of experience of stags over the years,i worked for Lucas R&D petrol injection in the sixties we used to visit triumph at Canley regular, saw my 1st Stag, set up for crash testing! the ,love affair began,wheres all that time gone?cheers macComment

Hi Mac,
I too used to visit Canley in the mid to late 70s. Although Stags were old hat by then we used to see TR7 convertibles and TR8s well before they became official. (I also remember spying on Longbridge to take pictures of a 'secret' car - it turned out to be the Allegro
