First proper outing and I end up being in a classic car show....sort of! Pics inside

First 'proper' trip out in my Carmine Stag, to a pub only a mile or so away in Shavington, near Crewe/Nantwich, for sunday lunch and it turned out that there was a classic car show in the grounds! Got talking to a Stag owner and was encouraged to move my car from the normal car park to join the classic cars on display.

2 other Stags there and one must be very well known in Stag circles as it is featured on the cover of 'Original Triumph Stag' by James Taylor. I have to say it was in AMAZING condition!

Anyway, seeing as everyone loves photos, I will post a load here.............

    Cheers
    Keith

Was at the car show part of Woodley Carnival Saturday. One of four Stags on the day. Had one offer to buy, another asking if I did wedding work and another request to take a daughter to her prom!

Great day and an impressive display of cars - way better than I expected.

I quite fancy a PA Cresta - but not that one! I see the Austin 7's were out in numbers.

Thanks very much. There were some beauties there. Car polish sales must have gone up in the Woodley area last weekend

                      Hi Richard,

your car looks really good What kind of wind deflector do you use?

I noticed the blue Stag beside yours, with the headrests in the rear.
Do you know what kind of seats he has? I think headrest in the rear
would be a great option for my kids.

                      Regards
                      Gerd

                        Hi Gerd.

Thanks very much. A bucket of polish and a sunny day does help!

I use a Bosscreen deflector and have found it to be really good. I took the tonneau cover off because people kept asking if they could see the back seats.

The chap next to me had his interior re-trimmed at Favershams so I assume they did the back seat headrests. He did say that they are not removable which would make it tricky using a wind deflector/tonneau cover set up.

                        Richard

Good point! Needs a special tonneau cover with a bulge for each headrest.

Thank you for posting the photos. Does the car actually look as good as presented in the book?
