    Winter Stag Brunch

The Canterbury NZ based Stag Owners got together yesterday for what is becoming a regular monthly outing. We seem to be stuck on six car max at each outing, but not the same six and still not a white one in sight. But we did manage 14 people for brunch at a vineyard, a tour of the Air Force Museum in Wigram and deserts at Chez Moi in Rolleston. Weather forecast wasn't brill but it didn't rain and a good time seemed to be had by all. Although I did lose all twelve other Staggers in the museum only to find them all clustered around the Mosquito Flight Simulator where nearly all of them seemed to have a magnetic attraction to crashing.

That looks good for a winters day Nick, and six is a pretty good number if it's fairly constant. A cracking array of lovely old cars. I'm not jealous - oh alright - I am. Martin.

Good one Nick,The Manawatu group put our stags on display at a motor show in Palmerston North a couple of weeks ago. There were only three of us but we at least were there. There was a dark red Stag with a Lexus Vee 8, a yellow Stag that has just been restored and done only 450KMS and my white Stag.Talking of the Mosquito similater, I went to Masterton to the airshow and saw the mosquito doing it's thing. What a sight and glorious sound. The pilot really did'nt want to land at the end and kept on doing low fast flyovers.Gee the yanks are lucky to have that plane now!!!

The simulator was quite good it was the cockpit of a mosquito with a big screen in front. No hydraulics to tilt the cabin though.
I've seen the Lexus Stag in Chch last year (unless there's more than one). Very professional looking conversion.

              Nick,
Yes for the 30th Anniversary. My intention is to meet up with members coming from south etc. at Woodville and carry on through to Taupo and stay the weekend there.I won't however be going on to Auckland.Yep the lexus you saw in Christchurch was Andrew Gaskins from Feilding. He is our local rep.
