Engine weight

Hi can anyone confirm the weight of a Stag engine minus the ancillaries and g/box.

looking to buy an engine stand for overhaul/rebuild.

Also can anyone commment on how far the timing chain tension will be out before the chains should be replaced?

Hi Tim, the chain question isn't quite that simple, if you don't know their mileage, you really should think about replacing them while you've got the lump out. Can't help with the weight but someone will Martin.
