When they asked if my rental car had been ok (the one I used over the Furka Pass) I told them "No - it's a very bad car. Too fast. Got me caught speeding"
For some reason both staff and waiting customer thought that was funny ;-)

That's very topical. Our local BBC Radio has been going on about the £500,000 in unpaid fines by foreign drivers in the SW alone over the past 3 years. Much debate on the radio about how efficient the European and Scandinavan countries are at recovering this money with the connivance of the DVLA yet we seem to just let them off.

This will (I am sure) be Swiss efficiency at its best - I suspect it's more a case of when than if the fine arrives in the post.
