Morning all,I've treated myself to a remote central locking system for the Stag and I've just about finished it all off now. It's made by Right Click and has a five wire actuator to one door and a 2 wire actuator to the other door. It's all installed and works with the locking system. My question is - I have to lock the car with the unlock button and unlock with the lock button. If that's all it was I'd just swap the cover plate around on the remotes but when unlocked and hence driving the flashing LED which is part of the kit and situated in the windscreen just in front of the speaker is activated. Now I've no desire to re-enact the Sweeney or any other 70's cop programme when driving so how do I get around this without dispensing with the flashing LED. I've swapped over the wires to the actuators to see if that makes a difference but sadly that's not made a jot of difference. I'm waiting for a call back from their helpline but I'd like to reassemble the interior before Tuesday comes when it has an oil change.. I've attached the wiring diagramme for you knowledgable chaps to have a look at - Could it be something to do with the learning button - as the instructions are silent on this..CHeersActuator info.jpgWiring diagramme.jpg

Andy.
First off are both doors locking and un-locking correctly even if they are backwards i.e. locked = unlocked and un-locked = locked?
If yes then try reversing the blue and green wires they drive the motors for the door locks you would need to do it for both doors the system does not care which way round they are as in side is usually a small DC motor that drives the lock piston.
I think I had the same problem with mine when I fitted them different manufacturer but the same principle.

swapping wires around
Thanks Paul - yes I thought that might work but when I tried that the system seems to remember and reset itself...back to how I don't want it !!. I've got an awful feeling that the way around this is that the actuators will have to be reversed which will mean that the actuator rods will need to be rest the other way round and the wiring will need to be extended....doh in other words it's almost starting again ! Unless I just accept that I don't want to extend the system with alarms or use the LED....I have to admit right now that's looking quite attractive.....Originally posted by Firept View PostAndy.

Hi
Hi had this problem, my actuators needed turning around. I.e, energised locks the doors, de energised unlocks.
hope this helps, even if it causes you more work

Hi Andy, The hazard switch is wired in to the indicator circuit green/red and green/white so if you bridge these two wires when you operate the indicators via the stalk all the lights will work together (could blow the flasher unit) as you will have 94watts drawing on it. The only way I found round it was either useing a diode or a double contact relay. Graham

Cheers Staggard - I'm almost through with it today so I'll definitely not attempt to link in to the hazard circuit. Out of interest I wonder who else has faced this problem and how they did it ? I have to say I'm really not very technical when it comes to cars and wiring so I'm actually amazed that I've got this far !
