Well Phil Mickelson's a nice guy, leftie too and it was his birthday! But he's won a few majors so I have trouble having any sympathy- in fact for any overpaid sportsperson. I would have liked to see Donald or Westwood win it but it was a great result for Rose. Tough course.
Almost unreported in the UK the All Blacks beat France on Saturday 30-0. Not as good as beating the Wallabies but as an ex-pom it still feels good.I was lucky enough to be there and saw two of the best tries you'll ever see.

Hear hear, from a delighted golf fan. Can't help observing though that Andy Murray was the first British tennis player to win a major for donkeys years. Whilst all the news programs reported that Englishman Justin Rose won the US Open. Just an observation. jools.
