Just fitted the rejetted Weber Carb I bought of Koy23 and first impressions seem good however I'm not too keen on the throttle linkage setup and wondered if anyone who had fitted the carb to a manual car had come up with a mod or alternative setup to the linkage supplied with the carb?

Its the U shaped adaptor that the throttle cable fixes to/through that concerns me, it is a poor fit to the carb linkage via the clevis pin and has caught on the adaptor plate a couple of times causing the engine to tick over at high revs. Think mine is an early kit as I bought it second hand and the newer kits may have an improved fitting. I can mod mine but thought if anyone had come up with a viable alternative I would copy it, why reinvent the wheel.

Dave.
This was it when fitted to my car, naturally you won't have the left hand part of the linkage. I fitted a return spring as it sometime idled around 2000rpm. I thought the kickdown cable was preventing linkage returning to idle, but thinking about it now it was probably helping. So suggest a return spring is necessary.
Hope you enjoy it.
