So finally out Stag is getting the treatment it deserves, some of you from the Devon area should recognize it since we use to try and go to lots of shows but its last show was august 2011! Its lived outside the whole ten years we've had it which hasn't done it any favors, its always had micro blistered/tatty paintwork.
So mechanically we got it up to scratch, new clutch and alternator, it just needs a new battery now. When i was home from uni i would jump it off my Polo and run it up to temp but unfortunately it still stood.
So as it was last week:

The first night undercover for a long time, at the very least since it was being accident repaired in 2010:

Bumper off:

Out to wash the dirt off before the more major strip:

Then the next day off with the hardtop and the softtop up to dry:

And getting more serious:

I was pleasantly surprised to find that these gutter drains were solid and simply blocked rather than rotten which we expected:

The drivers door (worst panel) i'm currently hunting for another:

And as it stood tonight:

I was surprised to find only one section of filler (which isn't that deep) on panels that look all original, and only three small patches that need welding!
So the general intention is to get it back on the road so we can enjoy it, but its also my sisters wedding on the 3rd of August and this is set to be the wedding car if its ready! We will see...
The plan originally was to have a crack at painting it ourselves but since we're running out of time i've got permission to get some quotes.
