Datsun Driveshafts Where can you get them from?

    Hi all,

Long time since last posting but all this talk of datsun driveshafts makes me wonder where you can get them from.

I have seen the GKN shafts with the slippery coating but like the idea of the CV's

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

I've got a few pairs left if you're interested - I usually sell them on e-bay. Hopefully the last lot will be being machined next week.

PM me if you want to find out a price - the only other place I'm aware of that sells them at the moment is Monarch, Chris Witor doesn't seem to do them anymore.

    Cheers

    Tony

      Tony

When you say machining do you mean the Triumph bits as I was notaware the Datsun shafts needed any machining? I already have a pair of shafts, just need the Triumph bits machining to accept the Datsun UJs or alternatively get some of the hybrid UJs from Australia.

        Dave,

You're correct the Datsun components don't need any machining just the triumph hubs and diff yokes. The TriDat conversion UJs sound OK but are very expensive even before shipping, the other thing that puts me off is you lose out on the benefit of the heavier duty uj at the triumph connecting ends.

        Cheers

I bought a set of Tony's modified shafts and cannot speak more highly of the results and quality.

          Well worth the money.

Thanks for the info Tony, do you sell just the Triumph parts or offer a machining service for the Triumph bits as I have a spare set of hubs and diff yokes which are fully stripped down.
