Cost me about 40 pounds to have a new window fitted so if the rest of the hood is good get it repaired also ask yourself how often do I use the hood is either down or hard top in the winter and only raised for rain? also there are various treatments for refreshing the fabric ie RENVO
Once you have built a ship everything else in life is easy

I had a new zip fitted in mine cost me £50 which included removing and refitting the hood so pretty good value especially as the hood was virtually brand new and I didnt want to buy another new hood.

            Hi Dave
I have a really good hood off the frame as well that needs a new back window.
If you find someone who will do it a sensible price please post on here as it seems a shame to not do it..
I've been quoted £150 plus VAT which makes it not worthwhile..as a new one is £340 and will be perfect..

                Hi Mark
It was a place in Newark, unfortunately I don't know the name of the company because it was done via a company who were painting my car. Don't think the bodywork place is still in business but they were called Aussie Rods and they specialised in VW camper restorations. There can't be too many car upholsterers based in Newark so should be traceable.
