I have the ROM (essential reading) and I've recently got a copy of the Stag Parts Catalogue - which is really useful (the exploded diagrams are brilliant for working out how an assembly goes back together when it was taken apart with some haste and I've forgotten quite how it goes!)...
So my question is this, is there a master reference (whether this is specifically Triumph or maybe British Leyland) that lists the part numbers and tells you what they are?
For example, I'd like to be able to look up part number 'HU858' and see that it is a '5/16 x 1" UNC machine screw'.
It would be useful because I'm planning to replace a number of the rather rusty or otherwise tired fittings that I've removed with stainless items and rather than buying the 'job lot sets' you can get on ebay (and ending up with lots I don't need) it would be good to plan it all out and order in one go. Yes I can go through all the bits I've taken off and measure them, but (a) it would be quicker to refer to a parts catalogue and (b) there's no saying that what came off was the correct part!
I think Peter at LDparts has something of this ilk, so I could ask him...
