Hi
Will have some pics soon drivers side easy peasy passanger a bit more difficult
Drivers side remove the undercarriage and pretensioner only 4 bolts
Using the Stag runners as the tomcat ones make the seat to high, runners only I did not fit the height adjusters you can do that by packers under the seat runners if required.
Open up the small stag fixing bracket to 8mm clear
Pass a lenght of 8mm stud bar from one side of the seat to the other using the exiting seat holes.
Using 8mm nuts and washers fix the bar to the seat also run nuts and washers down the bar and use those either side of the brackets to secure the runners to the 8mm bar this method allows you to move the seat or runner position just by moving the nuts for trial and error to get the best offset
For the front runner bracket you have to drill the front of the seat frame the nuts are hidden by the cover and foam
The offset is about 1" towards the centre to allow seat back to clear the B post
Its quite an easy job spent most of my time figureing it out the doing only took about 2 hours drivers seat 4 hours passanger seat
It take more time to distmantle the passanger side lots of rivets to drill and grind out when you have poitioned the runners you may find you have to cut away about 5mm of the seats undercarriage to stop it digging in the carpet or use 5 mm spacers which will do the same job I also wanted to do away with existing seat belts and fix seat belt receivers to the new seats after searching e bay it looks like I have found a set that has receivers which will bolt to the seat( without pretensioners) Citeron C5 have not fitted them yet but it looks hopefull then I can do away with the old Britax centre fitting also the bump and the rear ashtray
Will try to find pics later
Good idea but..... changing the mounting of a safety critical item is a dangerous thing to do. Are the floor/seat mounts strong enough as they take tremendous forces in an accident. Are they tested, no. Will the insurance company walk away from the claim, YES. Will you??
Sorry to be harsh here but this is serious.
Im running the car its sweet as a nut , wanted a diesel for towing the caravan , let me know what you want Im in the trade and I know where to look for Rover spares.
