It's a Filter King fuel pressure regulator, can be bought seperatly or together with a filter under. Many fuel pumps over pressure and can cause flooding of the carbs, use in conjunction with a filter. Leave it in place but check what pressure it is restricted to, should be around 3lbs.
Thanks. There is a filter in-line, just before the regulator. I have no means to check the pressure but there is no overflow from the carbs and the car runs well, so I will leave well alone.
I have no idea how long it has been there or who installed it. There is nothing in the paperwork that I have.
I was just curious as to what it was, so thanks again for the info.
