    Good old fashioned customer service

This is my first posting so not sure if it is in the correct forum or 'allowed' but I believe in credit where it's due and thought I should share a positive experience with you all. Now I admit to being a little on the back foot when it comes to DIY but on this occasion I thought I would give it a go. I have arranged my first driving holiday in the cherished Stag and wanted to make the experience a positive one for SHMBO. So I had the idea to refoam the seats. To cut an already too lengthy story short, I had 'issues' with the foam. It resulted in a rip in the cover and a few choice words. I desperation I contacted the foam suppliers 'ALDRIDGE TRIMMING', (no connection etc and first time of using them). The person dealing with my call passed me onto a specialist. They understood my predicament and was very understanding. He also knew my frustration, quite possibly feel my panic. I told him about my impending holiday. His priority was for me to be happy and the holiday a success. This is where I seem to enter a parallel universe. He said the main thing was to get me ready for my trip and explained his understanding of the issue, when met by my total lack of knowledge he took matters into his own hands and 'bailed me out'. The outcome being from a phone call 16.30 yesterday, I am now the proud and pleased as punch receiver of new foam and a replacement cover by 11 AM today. How does that happen? All I can say is the Stag owning brotherhood/sisterhood must be the last bastion of good old fashioned service and spirit. Thankyou Aldridge. Credit where it's due.

    Welcome Alfizz

I think it is always good to give positive comments indeed negative too albeit with or crazy defamation laws etc.. the latter sometimes have to be 'lifted' (not on all forums though I understand) for fear of upsetting the one being complained about!

Bring it all on I say!

    Cheers!

I wonder if it's something about trimmers being a very old-fashioned industry. The company I use in Cambridge (D S Thompsett) are also super nice.

Well the seat is now stuffed, sorted and fixed back into the Stag. Looks really good (IMHO), bring on the hols.
