I doubt whether this is a 1971 Mk1 Stag. To me it looks more like a Mk2 one.

H'mmm I thought he owned a Beetle. I read that he once stole an MG! Could be another Ted Bundy.
I agree with Dieter looks like a Mk2.

I had five seated adults in mine once.
Not the the three in the back were very comfortable
