Clutch Operating Lever - am I going nuts? !!!

My Stag came with the clutch slave cylinder and the operating lever on the right side of the car. (To avoid the usual comments about what is left and right: this is the side where my right hand is when I sit in the car facing the windscreen!)

The Repair Operations Manual, Haynes Workshop Manual, the Unipart Workshop Manual, and page 02-63 of the parts book all show this lever on the LEFT hand side. Page 02-64 of the parts book is the only picture showing the clutch lever on the right side the same as my car.

What is happening is that you are assuming that the people who wrote that book a: knew what they were doing and b: cared.

This can only lead to much frustration for you. Think of it as indicative rather than definitive.

Have you not got the special ROM update instruction which says to view that diagram in a mirror?

Right is right of course. And being a left hooker you'll have/need a longer clutch fluid pipe. Unless you put the pedals where God intended them to be on the left - in which case you'll need longer legs!
