StagManiac... I am a STAG owner and have been for over 24 years, even though I've never driven a Stag - not even my own... :-o MANIAC because I live and breathe interesting vehicles, especially classic cars. I have two classic car restoration projects in the pipeline right now. I am a "maniac" on other fora too. ;-) Real name... Paul :-)

"Rubce" is an old nickname of mine dating back 20 odd years and a Play by Mail strategy game called Keys Of Medokh. My character in the game had a name "Rubce Rabutgt" based on an anagram of my name "Bruce Garbutt". The bit based on Bruce stuck whilst the bit based on my surname was too much of a mouthful!
It then morphed into my e-mail address and is in use to this day.
Clear? I hope so.
Cheers
Bruce

My initials "TDM" when said aloud sound just the same as when saying the name of the old christian hymn the "Te Deum",
and I have often been called by my initials rather than just "Terry" or "Tez" as some people shorten it to.
The Canarians and Spanish though here in Tenerife always call me "Terry" but have difficulty in saying my wife's name "Maureen".
When Canarians/Spanish marry they tend to keep the surnames of both partners (not just the husband) and on a number of documents
over here my surname appears as "David Makinson" rather than just "Makinson" as they assume my middle name is my wife's maiden name.
(Just a bit of trivia regarding names).
I use "TDM" as my Username on a number of Forums (not just this one) - because it is easy to remember.

But unlike the character, I am more than capable of detecting and calling out a "smeghead"!

Built my stag to travel round europe and have done on many a trip over 21 years , Italy and back three times were for me the best trips. Also hauled the caravan round Holland , France , Le mans lots of times , Belguim as well. Shes never gave me any trouble or doubt.
Also drove wagons abroad for many years and loved the lifestyle and the sights I got to see every day, Some older hands may remember the artics turning up at stag meets around the country.
