    Can anyone identify these?

Just finished putting all the trim and odds and ends not refitted by the PO after a rebuild. Car is loking great but I have some bits left over!

Anyone know what these are and should I be worried?

They look like gearbox mounting bolts. They fit through the floor either side of the tunnel, as they are joined together it's a one man job to do up the nuts.

Aren't they used for securing the front cross member to the chassis legs.

Ah yes, what Kevin says. Nearly four years since I had to refit them and its amazing how fast you forget.

Yep, I reckon Kevin's right, however the standard ones don't have bolt heads like those - they are a simple circle.

If your car is on the road without them then you've got a bit of a problem

IIRC these items are replaced with ordinary bolts with the ZF kit, which offers one potential explanation why they are left over. Has a ZF been fitted?

Can't remember why they are replaced though.

Yep, although the originals didn't have bolt heads, if you look closely at the Rimmer's pic of the part that Kevin mentioned, it seems that their's do have the bolt heads.

                  Easier to make I guess.

                  Cheers
