Hi all my 77 Stag which I have had for two months rattles a lot from the near side rear panel from the B post back.it sounds just like the door is not shut properly I have found the side struts on the hood the one with the padding is very loose should it be I have tightened all the bolts that are visible. Strange the drivers side one is more loose but does not rattle or could it be the inertia seat belt in the B post . Rattles are so difficult to find also have a Squeak from the font suspension ( no funny's about mice please) I was thinking if fitting some spring washers between the loose joints in the hood. I will have get my son to drive the car and me sit in the back and see if I can pinpoint the rattles unless you have any suggestions. I know I keep asking silly questions but i am new to Stags and after all this is why I joined the club to be with fellow owners.

Lots of rattles from the hood?

The hood frame should have been properly shimmed when new but they wear after such a long time. Unless they are readjusted/reshimmed they can get quite loose. The other rattle culprit can be the tonneau cover. Check that there is a rubber seal fitted, and that the tonneau is not loose enough to rattle.
