The inside colour is black instead of the normal beige - it was offered as an option and I quite like the idea.
John - like you I've seen some really bad new hood fitments - the new hood cover that was on mine when I bought looked like it had been fitted by a blind man, not just that it was fitted to a shagged frame and the cover got trapped in the mechanism the first time I lowered it.
I had to think really carefully when spending a considerable sum of money on a frame and hood as to what the end result would be like and what backup I would get if I had problems - there were logistical issues using Brian, as he needs you to leave your car with him for a few days and mine is a daily use car that I cant do without, so I ignored the amateur fitment route (me or someone else - trimming is something you are trained for, I'm not and I'll admit my limitations) where one badly judged cut is a £350 cover that never fits right. Having seen some of Jims work, which was excellent, plus I hoped the Faversham connection to be a good thing, and importantly I wanted to be able to reject a poor job without there being any personal connection -just business - and if necessary pursue it legally.
I really don't expect to need to do this, but I have recently seen some hood fitments that were well below par for the money charged, and the car owner has had the runaround from the fitter - unfortunately, trying to save a few quid and going to acquaintances can bite you in the arse if it's not right.
