I spoke to a stag owner at a nearby airshow,he had arrived with some mg friends,I went over to introduce myself and asked if he was in the SOC.HE REPLIED,''stag owners are snobs'' I said that I had met quite a few and never found that.
I wave at all classics and mostly get a response.
My modern' is a rover 75 and I once stopped to help someone(in a rover 75) who looked as if he had broke down on a bad bend,,He replied,''don't be silly these don't brake down''-he was making a phone call!

ps. I suppose to answer the question and if we are snobby, the Royal wave will do....Last edited by v8ken; 15 August 2013, 12:59.

I find getting into mine is still easy, getting out is becoming increasingly embarassingOriginally posted by DJT View PostSeen this on T-shirts for sale at the International Triumph Show and Spares Day, Stoneleigh. I expect they sell reciprocal ones at the MG show
NB. As an ex MG owner, I have no prejudice against them. I just don't think I could get into my old Midget any more. Might manage my old B Roadster - just!

Hey Marco, is it still broken down?

Hi Julian
Thanks for the Avantime photos.
I worked for Renault UK in those days and ran an Avantime as a company car for 9 months. It was great fun with all the windows down and with no B post combined with a full length panoramic glass roof it was a real head turner. Next to the Stag it has been my favourite car.
I'd have another Avantime with no hesitation but will have to make do with a chrome plated 8.5" model on the bookshelf alongside my model Stag.IMG_0226[1].jpg

Hi Julian.
I worked for RUK from 2000 to 2003 in a combined Network Development Department with Nissan following the formation of the alliance between those companies.
I don't recall RH but then we didn't mix with the flower arrangers in the press office with I think was based somewhere else away from the HQ in Rickmansworth.
Cheers
Steve

No mate, nothing that a new battery and re securing of the vacuum pipes to the aircon system couldn't fix! Had to have a little chortle this morning, on the way to Brisbane Airport I saw some poor bloke, heading the other direction, trying to push his MG to the side of the highway across three lanes of traffic. Where can you buy those " I'd rather push a Triumph than......." T shirts from?Originally posted by jakesmig View PostI find getting into mine is still easy, getting out is becoming increasingly embarassing
