Wow! And only up the road from me too!!! I did not know that one exisited, a member of the 2000 Register is just finishing a complete restoration of DEL 33, which is red. I notice it has a Rover engine, DEL 33 has a Stag engine so I presume this one did too. There is also a genuine Stag saloon in the Register, also built by Del Lines.
That side view is very NONE Stag like to me. Still it would be an interesting car with the TV8 back in or the RV8 running well. However I agree with the "money pit" comment. It'll go for reasonable money I bet - yet another one of us with less sense than money (that used to be more money than sense - but then I bought a Stag).
Don't know, but I built my own starting with a 2.5PI estate bought with knackered engine and box for £700 off fleabay.
I had my own good Stag engine removed from the TR when I fitted the high performance one it has got fitted now.
If I put the value of the engine at £1500 (but I know how good it is so it could be undervalued at that) then the finished car ows me 4K in parts alone and took three years to build, little things like finding NOS front wings and bumpers slow things down a little.
I can guarantee that this one won't be bought and restored cheaper than that.
If I hadn't got one already I might have been tempted!
